Only the Memories | Dennis McCart | $2000 | 61 x 61 cm | Ink, enamel and oil paint on canvas

Erasure of historical buildings is recurrent; attuned to this destructive pattern. Construction sites, emblematic of temporality and transitions, captivate me with their abstract shapes and nuanced tones. My painting delves into archetypal imagery of demolishment, a pervasive symbol in contemporary culture creating scenes of unconventional beauty.

No 102

The Warbler’s Shadow | Amanda Ford | $1700 | 120 x 120cm | Acrylic on canvas

I painted this from a photograph a friend of mine took. I thought it was a beautiful picture. Was it because of the colours, or the effect of light on the subject? Or is it the look in maggie’s eyes, or his delicate pose? Or is it simply the moment in time that has been captured so masterfully? If we just observe, beauty really does abound.

No 103

The Shapeshifter | Kristie Rowe | $5700 | 120cm x 180cm | Oil on canvas created from live sitting, costumes, backdrop, photo by the artist

An ephemeral moment, sun rays through the window illuminate performance artist, Talitha Maslin. Imaginations meet without words, exploding around the possibilities of heroines and creatures, beauty and mythology.

No 104

The Trees Have The Answers | Hanna Rose | $6000 | 150 x 150cm | Abstract oil painting on canvas, many layers of colour create depth and intrigue

This painting was deeply inspired by beautiful gardens around my studio. We’d emerged from a bitterly cold, wet winter so spring was lush and green. I was so affected by the magnificence of creation that I could paint nothing but the colour I saw

No 110

Clementines Play | Isabelle Chouinard | $2500 | 46 x 38 cm | Oil on linen

No 111

The Secret Life of Daydreams | Suzanne Lawson | $1500 | 92x72cm | Oil on Canvas

This painting of Bee was inspired by my love of colour/contrast and the art nouveau movement. Her relaxed posture contrasts with the busyness & boldness of the fabrics. In art nouveau ‘reaction against the academic art, eclecticism and historicism of the 19th century architecture and decoration’ is expressed in sensual ornamentation & beauty.

Kris Unveiled | Christine Nagle | $2000 | 153x76cm | Oil pain on canvas

Author of Fat Girl Dancing, Kris Kneen’s stance references the Western cannon of art with it’s ideal slender depiction of femininity. Peer Review | Kate Kurucz | $6500 | 157×112 | oil on linen

There is beauty in failure and catharsis in tragedy. I find the story of Icarus to be particularly beautiful, remembering always that he was warned not only to avoid flying too high, but also too low, lest the water drag his wings down. The absurdity and foolishness of human experience does not make it less beautiful, but more so.

She’s waiting for her online blind date. No 136

Bed | Christopher Kerley | $3550 | 69×93 cm | Oil on canvas

What attracted me to this scene was the beauty of light within the room. Strong diagonals form a pleasing composition which contributes to balance within the picture. No 137

Self Portrait in the Bath | Kate Hendry | $3000 | 91 x 121 cm | Oil Painting, Portrait, Figurative

This painted self portrait depicts me clothed in the bath. I am clothed to disrupt typical expectations around viewing a painting of a bathing woman and thus the consumption of beauty in art.
